Manually Moving a FANUC Robot

Last week we encountered an issue where a FANUC robot froze in an error position (an area that interfered with the safety sensors on the accompanying system). The only way to reset the error was to move the robot to a safe location manually. Only after that could we reset the system and start it back up successfully.

Fortunately, FANUC knew this situation might be a possibility for its customers. They have a procedure on how to manually move their robots using the teach pendant. Download the procedure in PDF form using the button below.
